Low Line(s)

The international workshop Pettinissa set up the ambitious goal of reconfiguring   a mobility system along the route of Autostrada A2, on the 30 km long section linking Santa Trada hill to the city of Reggio Calabria.

Within the assigned area, crossing the Annunziata river, the proposed device acts as a group of ropes —each of them corresponding to several attributes, functions and perceptions— squeezed in the proximity of the altitude gap, unravelling into spatially independent paths.

Every track has its own crossing speed and suggests a distinct experience, holding onto the viaduct structure and leaning on the valley orography.
